A few weeks ago I read a book called, Showstopper!
which described the making of Windows NT. I wrote a little mini-review
on my home page. I would recommend it to people (like me) who are interested in the history of CS and big software projects. In a similar vein, a long time ago I read two books about Xerox Parc, Fumbling the Future,
and some other one
. I would definitely recommend both of the books, mostly because the story of Parc, and Xerox's failure to capitalize on their own invention of the PC, is so interesting.
