Lost?

I've been watching some of the TV show Lost, recently, because of their sweet online episodes. I also saw a little bit back in college because my roommate liked to watch it. I gotta say, that's a pretty frustrating show to watch. While it's very engaging, you definitely get the idea that you're never really going to learn "what it's all about." In the past three episodes I don't feel like I've learned anything new about the state of the world.

How do you guys do it? What happens if the show gets canceled before you learn what's going? Seems unlikely now, but at the pace they're going, you never know...

I think they renewed the series for exactly N more seasons. If my addition is correct, the producers plan on having everything wrapped up by the end of season 6. So supposedly they've got a definite end in sight.

  2. YAY! Another Lostx0r in the making?

I like it, and when I don't like it, I enjoy disliking it.

So how far into it are you? Have you been watching everything consecutively? (Can't imagine it would be very "productive" to watch the episodes out of order, but I can't rule out that someone would.)

  3. I guess you could say, I am becoming more Lost every day.

I've just been watching the current episodes online for about the last few weeks, so I can't really say I am up to date. However, I do have some idea of what has been going on, and Brianne is nice enough to answer my annoying questions (of the, "wait, I thought they were friends!?" variety).

  4. Okay, that's good to hear.

You always want to believe that there is some real, underlying story, and not just a bunch of guys going, "well how can we create a cliffhanger for next week?"

Cancellation, though, is a real fear. There have been plenty of shows (Babylon 5 comes to mind, also now Friday Night Lights, it appears) where the entire plot was planned out, but where they got canceled before the story was finished. I guess I should just hope Lost stays popular enough.
