Hmm...

I can't hear out of my left ear at all, and I'm pretty sure it's because of ear wax... Ew... Q-Tips seems to help not at all. Does anyone know the name of that chemical you put in your ear that causes the ear wax to come out? I'm dying here.

  2. For some reason I think the brand is Murine.

P.S. Asian people have a strange obsession with ear wax.

  5. Here's a fun fact for you, then. Most Asian people have dry-type earwax while in most other ethnicities, earwax is wet-type. A q-tip is actually a pretty inefficient device for dry-type earwax removal.

    Similarly, an earpick

is probably pretty inefficient for wet-type removal.

  6. Hmmm... that's actually really interesting. I was just thinking today how, it seems like the drier your ear-wax, the more likely it is that a Q-tip could pick it up because of the increased friction it creates. I had this thought when trying to decided whether to Q-tip before or after my shower. But I guess I've got it backwards?

(Oh, and ps, the product I got was called Debrox. They had the one you mentioned, but the pharmacist recommended this one.)

  7. You guys may both be happy to know... I went to the Student Health Services place today, because the product I bought wasn't getting the job done. They squirted out my ear with some kind of squeeze pump, and now I feel like I can hear better than I ever have in my entire life. In fact the whole way back I was giggling to myself because I could hear the tiniest noises. I feel like a new man!
